Who we are :
Over the years, Sita Spices has developed a unique range of recipes like its universally popular Tikka Masala Mix, which has very little colouring. It has also devised original recipes for celery salt, garlic salt, bouquet garni and mixed herbs, which are among its best sellers.
Company namesake, Managing Director, Mrs.Sita Thenappan says :
"We only use pure cooking salt and don't use any unnecessary chemicals - including monosodium glutamate."
"For example, only the experts know that frying mustard seeds in oil before adding onions gives Indian curry the most delicious flavour." With this kind of knowledge and experience it's not hard to see why this family-run business has built up such an excellent reputation since 1991.
Sita Spices produces and packages over 70 different spices from raw materials, which are sent from its Kent factory to all over the UK. And it sells a staggering more than million jars of spice each year to customers accross the UK and overseas.
Not surprisingly, an increasing number of customers are turning to Sita Spices, which has developed its own inimitable style.
As an example, instead of blindly following its competitors, Sita Spices has opted for a stylish jar with a totally different shape. The Company's hexagonal jars aren't only easy to grip (making them a boon for wet or arthritic hands), they are also wide enough to take a level teaspoon.
Due to a mixture of hard work, business acumen and the ability to generate fresh ideas, SitaSpices has expanded rapidly over the last three years. It is now moving into its own purpose-built food quality premises with full HACCP systems.
This will ensure that its customers continue to enjoy affordable spices of the highest quality.
